Frank Jewell (longtime Duluth social justice and peace activist, among other things) is running for 1st District St. Louis County Commissioner. This will be an evening of comedy, music, and a chance to meet Frank in person.

October 20-22, "Carry It On" Training workshop
Sara will be attending a workshop in England entitled "Carry It On," a skills training, support and networking weekend providing inspiration, ideas & refreshment to leaders of singing groups led by Frankie Armstrong and Rowena Whitehead, founder members of the Natural Voice Practitioners’ Network.

October 29, Benefit Concert
An evening of music & poetry to benefit Twin Ports School of the Americas (SOA) Watch
Sunday, October 29, 7:00 pm, College of St Scholastica, Mitchell Auditorium, Duluth
Featuring musicians: Sara Thomsen, Rachael Kilgour, Kathy McTavish, and Echoes of Peace Choir
Poet Ellie Schoenfeld and storyteller Elizabeth Nordell
Tickets at the door: $10 or $5 for students/people on fixed incomes

November 4, "How Can I Keep From Singing?" Workshop led by Sara
Saturday, November 4, 10am to 5pm. Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2310 E. 4th Street, Duluth.
An all-day singing workshop, open to anyone with a desire to sing. No previous experience necessary!
$25-35 sliding scale. Students/Seniors $5-$15 sliding scale. Bring your own lunch (we'll take a lunch break at 12:30pm)
